Wyvonne Braithwaite, 84, of Richland Center died Saturday, September 1, 2012. She was born August 5, 1928 in Fancy Creek the daughter of Charles and Verna Dell (Harris) Gillingham. On June 16, 1949 Wyvonne married Dean Braithwaite. She worked for Burnham’s Drug Store and later to Empire Drug Store. Wyvonne was recruited and worked at the Pippin Clinic in the Optical Department and when the Richland Medical Center was opened she was right there. She retired from the Richland Medical Center in 1985. Wyvonne sang in the Peace United Methodist Church Choir for many years. She was a member of Eastern Star and was awarded Mother DeMoley. Wyvonne and Dean could be seen snowmobiling in the winter and camping in the summer. She enjoyed flowers and her gardens.
Wyvonne is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dean of Richland Center, sister Kathleen Walker of Savanna, Georgia, 2 nieces, Kathleen Langham of California, Donna Dell of Georgia, other relatives, and friends.
Wyvonne was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the Fancy Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.
