Wrongful death lawsuit filed in fatal nightclub shooting

Man convicted of killing Wisconsin woman in San Diego hotel

The mother of a man who was killed at an Appleton nightclub is suing the accused shooter, who has not yet gone to trial.

Jacquelyn Pische, of Gillett, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Outagamie County Circuit Court against Chong Leng Lee. He has been charged with fatally shooting Joshua Richards, 25, at the former Luna Lounge in December 2013.

The Green Bay man was shot at close range and died two days later. Pische is asking for an unspecified award and punitive damages.

Lee is scheduled to go on trial in February on a charge of first-degree intentional homicide and six other counts.
