Woodchucks Stop Mallards At Warner Park

The Wisconsin Woodchucks scored four runs in the 6th inning to defeat the Mallards 11-8 at Warner Park Wednesday Night.

The Woodchucks scored on three bases loaded walks and a wild pitch in the decisive 6th inning.

Taylor Gushue hit a three-run homer in the 7th to get the Mallards with a run, 9-8, but Wisconsin tacked on single runs in the 8th and 9th to secure the win.

Tyler Marincov had three hits to lead the Mallards offense.

The Mallards are now 12 and 16 on the season — they’ve been eliminated from contention for the first half title in the Northwoods League.  The Woodchucks even their record at 14-14..
