Woman taken to hospital with sink stuck on thumb, officials say
MADISON, Wis. — A Madison woman was taken to a hospital Friday morning with a dismantled sink attached to her hand after her thumb got stuck, Madison Fire Department officials said.
Firefighters were called around 11:25 a.m. to Sherman Terrace after the woman got her thumb stuck in the drain of her bathroom sink, according to a release.
The woman’s thumb was stuck at the first knuckle, paramedics said. Crews were unable to get her hand out of the sink, so they dismantled it and took her to a hospital with the sink bowl still on her finger.
