Woman struck, killed walking on highway, deputies say
Pedestrian pronounced dead at scene
MAUSTON, Wis. — A woman was killed when she was struck by a car while walking on a highway, according to a release from the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called at 1 a.m. Sunday to Highway 12 and 16 east of Arrowhead Road on a report of a car vs. pedestrian crash.
Investigators said the pedestrian, a 23-year-old Milwaukee woman, was walking in the eastbound lane when she was struck by a car driven by a 30-year-old Lyndon Station woman.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The names of those involved are being withheld pending the notification of family members.
The crash remains under investigation.
