Woman resists arrest, hits two officers in downtown Madison
MADISON, Wis. — A woman resisted arrest and hit two officers in downtown Madison early Sunday morning.
According to a blog post from Madison Police Chief Mike Koval, officers who were working the Downtown Safety Initiative at 600 University Ave. saw a 20-year-old drunken woman who chose to cross the street in traffic at 1:37 a.m.
Police said the officers ran up to check on the woman after she fell. The woman became aggressive toward authorities and hit two officers.
She was later arrested and taken to jail on charges of resisting, disorderly conduct, two counts of battery to a police officer and possessing a false ID card.
