Woman killed after sliding off snowy road
45-year-old driver pronounced dead at hospital
TOWN OF DELL PRAIRIE, Wis. — An Adams woman was killed when she lost control of her vehicle on a snowy road and crashed into a tree.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to State Highway 14 north of Golden Avenue in the town of Dell Prairie at 3:36 a.m. Sunday for a report of a single-vehicle crash.
Investigators said Wendy Lunny, 45, was traveling north on Highway 13 when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree. She was critically injured and taken to St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo where she was pronounced dead.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, according to deputies.
The Kilbourn Fire Department, Wisconsin Dells Police Department, and Dells-Delton Ambulance assisted at the scene.
Lunny was formerly a Baraboo resident, according to her obituary through Farber Funeral Home of Reedsburg.
