Woman involved in Highway 30 crash dies
MADISON, Wis. — The Cottage Grove woman who suffered severe head injuries in a crash on Highway 30 Feb. 12 has died , a family member told News 3.
News 3 has learned that Jennifer Steiner’s family said their goodbyes Saturday. Steiner ‘s husband Kirk U’ren died at the scene .
A police investigation found that a 25-year-old man was driving east on Highway 30 near Fair Oaks Ave. around 4:50 p.m. Feb. 12 when he lost control of his car, went airborne and landed on the U’Ren’s SUV on the westbound side of the highway, police said.
Speed appeared to be a factor in the crash, police said. Two other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Jennifer Steiner was 34 years old. The couple leaves behind twin boys, Kayden and Grayson .
The couple were organ donors, and their donations will help more than 100 people.
