Woman accused of displaying firearm in Monroe found with BB pistol, police say
MONROE, Wis. — A Monroe woman accused of displaying a firearm Monday evening was found with a BB gun, according to police.
Monroe police said officers responded at 6:27 p.m. to a report of a person who had displayed a firearm during an argument with another person in the 2300 block of 18th Avenue. Monroe Police chief Fred Kelley said the gun was not pointed at anyone during the incident.
Police stopped 21-year-old Courtney J. Jackson about 30 minutes later in a vehicle in the 2700 block of 18th Street. The firearm was found to be a BB pistol, according to police. Jackson was charged with disorderly conduct, and was later booked and released pending a court appearance.
