Witness reports seeing driver drink beer in vehicle; Man faces 6th OWI
REEDSBURG, Wis. — A Reedsburg man is facing a repeat drunken drive charge after a witness reported seeing him drinking beer inside his vehicle Saturday, officials said.
The Reedsburg Police Department said an officer stopped 51-year-old Peter J. Trumble at 7:51 p.m. near the intersection of 3rd Street and Laurel Street.
After officer contact, Trumble was arrested on suspicion of sixth-offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Trumble was also arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor bail jumping. He was cited on suspicion of keeping open intoxicants in a motor vehicle and operate motor vehicle without insurance. He was taken to the Sauk County Jail.
