Wisconsin’s Women’s Hockey Team Heading To Frozen Four

It was a big weekend for the University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team, as the top-ranked Badgers are in the Frozen Four for the second-straight year.

UW beat Mercyhurst 3-1 in the NCAA quarterfinals Saturday night at the Kohl Center.

It’s now down to four teams and anything can happen.

“At this time of the season, and these type of games your upper classmen, your seniors your best players have to be your best players if you have a chance to be successful,” said head coach Mark Johnson. “Those things are the difference between maybe winning games and losing games and not winning games.”

Wisconsin will face Boston College Friday in the semifinals at 5 p.m. Madison time.
