Wisconsin volleyball beats Nebraska 3-0
First win over Huskers since 1978
MADISON, Wis. — Saturday at a sold out UW Fieldhouse, No. 5 Wisconsin volleyball beat No. 14 Nebraska 25-19, 25-21, 25-18. UW extends their winning streak to nine matches while snapping a 17-match losing streak vs. Nebraska that dated back to 1978.
Sophomore Lauren Carlini shined for Wisconsin, tallying a career-high nine kills and a season-high five blocks. Courtney Thomas led the Badgers with 10 kills.
With the straight set sweep, Wisconsin has now won 19 consecutive sets and improves to 18-2 overall (9-1 in the Big Ten).
Up next, Wisconsin begins a four-match road trip starting with Purdue Wednesday night.
