Wisconsin volleyball beats Maryland 3-0
Extends winning streak to five games
MADISON, Wis. — The sixth-ranked Wisconsin volleyball team notched their fifth Big Ten win in a row Sunday in the sold-out UW Fieldhouse. The Badgers beat Maryland 25-14, 25-17, 25-17 in front of a crowd of 6,012.
The winning streak is Wisconsin’s longest since 2007.
It was the first time this season that no one on the team had double-digit kills. To make up for it, the whole team chipped in, with all six starters tallying at least four kills.
The Wisconsin defense was stout, as well. The Badgers outblocked the Terrapins 8-4.
Up next, the Badgers hit the road to Minnesota, where they’ll play the Gophers Wednesday at 6 p.m.
