Wisconsin Teen To Carry Olympic Torch In England In July
A 13-year-old Weston girl will be carrying the Olympic torch in England this summer.
Peyton Medick is one of 22 other teens picked who have lived phenomenal lives.
She was only 8-years-old when she started Peyton’s Promise, which has collected over 60 tons of food and raised thousands of dollars on behalf of the hungry.
The girl’s mother secretly entered Peyton as a candidate to carry the torch and didn’t tell her that she was chosen until two months later.
She told WSAW-TV that she was surprised and feels honored.
According to the London Olympic games website, Peyton will carry the Olympic torch July 9 in Aylesbury, England.
