Wisconsin sets new state record with drug drop-off

Wisconsin residents turned in nearly 19 tons of prescription drugs as part of a nationwide movement.

Last weekend, the Drug Enforcement Administration hosted Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

Wisconsinites set a new state record by dropping off 18.7 tons of medication this year. Last year’s total was approximately 10 tons.

Wisconsin had the third-highest drop-off total in the nation.

A total of 276 tons of medication were dropped off nationwide.
