Wisconsin returns to action this weekend with Top 3 border battle

MADISON, Wis. — It’s been a couple weeks since Wisconsin women’s hockey saw live game action, but that will change this weekend.

The third-ranked Badgers are set to host top-ranked Minnesota for the first installment of the border battle this season. And both teams enter the highly anticipated matchup fresh off byes.

“You’re kind of just sitting there waiting for games again,” Wisconsin senior defender Nicole LaMantia said. “So it’s definitely exciting to be back on the ice this week, especially against Minnesota.”

Wisconsin’s last game was against Minnesota Duluth on Oct. 29.

The Badgers are sporting a 10-2-0 record, while the Gophers are 9-1-1 on the season. Puck drops both Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. at LaBahn Arena.
