Wisconsin QB Jack Coan transfers to Notre Dame
MADISON, Wis. — Badgers quarterback Jack Coan is taking his talents to South Bend.
The former University of Wisconsin quarterback announced in a Twitter post Monday night that he has transferred to Notre Dame after entering the transfer portal last month.
Coan underwent surgery in the fall after breaking his foot during practice, an injury which gave redshirt-freshman Graham Mertz the opportunity to take over the starting position.
Coan started in 18 games across two seasons and led the Badgers to the 2020 Rose Bowl.
Wisconsin will play against the Fighting Irish on Sept. 25 at Soldier Field in Chicago.
