Wisconsin Men’s Basketball Team Gets Prime Time Exposure
On Wednesday night, the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team play the North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill.
North Carolina should be a little feisty after losing to UNLV over the weekend and dropping from the no. 1 spot in the polls.
But Mike Bruesewitz said all those McDonald’s All-Americans playing for North Carolina won’t intimidate the Badgers.
“North Carolina on the jerseys, they’re still guys,” said Bruesewitz. “They’re still human beings in those uniforms. They’re not super heroes. But they’re pretty darn good human beings.”
North Carolina’s Harrison Barnes is recovering from an ankle injury just as the fifth-ranked Tar Heels try to bounce back from their first loss.
After North Carolina plays No. 9 Wisconsin, they take a trip to Kentucky, which replaced the Tar Heels at No. 1 after the loss to UNLV on Saturday night.
UNC coach Roy Williams said Barnes missed Monday’s practice after spraining his right ankle against UNLV and didn’t sound certain that Barnes would be ready for the Badgers.
But team spokesman Steve Kirschner said Barnes planned to return to “full” practice Tuesday afternoon.
