Wisconsin Department of Corrections says Beloit sex offender released from prison

BELOIT, Wis. — The Wisconsin Department of Corrections said 58-year-old Richard A. Bronge was released from prison Tuesday.

According to a news release from the Beloit Police Department, Bronge was placed at 1216 Portland Avenue, Beloit, a temporary living placement location rented by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

The release said Bronge was convicted in December 2018 on three counts of child pornography and possessed and shared approximately 16 child pornography videos involving young female victims, including a toddler.

Bronge will remain on supervision until Jan. 15, 2024, and is required to register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry.

He will also be on lifetime GPS monitoring.

Bronge will not be able to have unsupervised contact with minors or contact the victims, according to the release.
