Wisconsin Democrats open new office in Columbia County

PORTAGE, Wis. — State Democrats, including Gov. Tony Evers, celebrated the opening of the party’s new office in Columbia County on Friday.

Evers met and thanked local supporters for their work in organizing ahead of November’s election. He also talked about trying to win Republican counties.

“Republican moms and dads care about education just like Democratic moms and dads. Republican moms and dads want good healthcare. They want to make sure that the technical college is strong and they want their damn roads fixed. So there’s a lot of issues that transcend Republicans and Democrats, and I believe that’s an important part of winning this race,” he said.
