Wisconsin Dells company to have float in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — The Kalahari Resorts and Conventions is going to have a float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the third year in a row, a news release said.
The float features a scene with hippos, lions, elephants and giraffes around a watering hole. The main feature of the scene is a 12-foot wide African elephant with a head and trunk controlled by puppeteers. The mosaic river used 120 pounds of glitter.
The parade will be airing on NBC and Telemundo at 8 a.m. central time. The Kalahari float is expected to air around 8:58 a.m.
Kalahari has four resorts and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2020.
