Wis. River Towns Set Up Eagle Watching Days
Dust off your binoculars, bird lovers. A quartet of Wisconsin river cities are gearing up for their annual bald eagle watching days.
Hundreds of eagles congregate every winter along the Wisconsin and Mississippi rivers to search for food in open waters below dams.
Sauk City and Prairie du Sac on the Wisconsin River will hold their 25th annual Bald Eagle Watching Days on Jan. 13 and Jan. 14.
Cassville, on the Mississippi, will hold its 18th annual Bald Eagle Days on Jan. 28 and Jan. 29. Prairie du Chien, up the river from Cassville, will hold Bald Eagle Appreciation Day on Feb. 25.
