Winona man sentenced in 3-year-old daughter’s death
A Winona man will spend five years in prison for a child neglect felony.
A La Crosse judge sentenced Dylan Bartsh, 33, to five years confinement and five years extended supervision for the neglect of his 3-year-old daughter, which resulted in her death.
Bartsh and his girlfriend, 27-year-old Jaymie Rundle, were arrested in Holmen two years ago.
According to the criminal complaint, Bartsh’s 3-year-old daughter died from fatal child abuse at the end of October 2014 due to a number of contributing factors. She had cuts and bruising to her face, neck, abdomen, arms, back and legs.
The medical examiner said the battered child clearly had not received adequate nutrition and had extreme “failure to thrive” conditions.
Rundle was sentenced to eight months of electronic monitoring as part of a plea agreement last August.
