Wine-and-tapas bar, gastropub open in Dane County airport
A new wine and tapas bar and a pub opened at the Dane County Regional Airport Tuesday morning.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the airport for the Vinoteca Wine & Tapas bar and the Mad Town Gastropub.
Dane County Executive Joe Parisi joined airport officials at the ceremony, where they also unveiled the expansion of Metcalfe’s Local to Go and Ancora Artisan Coffee & Tea.
Passengers can enjoy wine, local beer, and handcrafted cocktails at the new Vinoteca Wine & Tapas bar.
Mad Town Gastropub serves breakfast through dinner and last departures and features a menu of fresh, sustainable dishes created by local chef Tory Miller.
Other changes included the expansion of new food and beverage options at the airport’s new Madison XPress and Madison Xchange gift shops. The shops feature traditional newsstand items and specialized gift shop finds, refreshments and last-minute travel necessities.
