MADISON- Wilma Alt, age 94, of Madison, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012. She was born on Sept. 24, 1918, in Dodgeville. Wilma was one of William and Vera (Lutz) Rundle’s eleven children. She grew up on a farm in Dodgeville and graduated from Dodgeville High School. Wilma was married to the late John “Jack” Alt. For over 25 years, she worked for the UW Hospital retiring as the head of the Narcotics Department. Wilma loved to travel on country roads, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She was always donating to various charities. Wilma is survived by her four children, Richard Alt, Lois Nordness, Larry Alt and Paul (Theresa) Alt; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Hazel Hildreth, Ella Quire, Jean Polkinghorn, Gordon Rundle and Irene Daniels; and son-in-law, Dale Dolson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Joyce and Rodney; siblings, Robert, Ruth, Melva, Ron and Mervin; and daughters-in-law, Arlene and Betsy Alt. Funeral services will be held at ST. LUKE’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7337 Hubbard Ave., Middleton, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, with the Rev. Heather Lampert presiding. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
