William R. Wettstein
William R. Wettstein, age 75, of Janesville, died at home on Saturday, March 25, 2017, of a recurrent glioblastoma.
Bill was born in Fond Du Lac, WI on Feb. 11, 1942, the son of Roland and Leona (Schluchter) Wettstein. He graduated from Chilton High School in 1960 and from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1964 where he earned a bachelor degree in business administration. He began his successful professional career at Hamilton Industries, Two Rivers, WI in 1964 where he remained for 25 years. In 1989 he joined the Spacesaver Corporation, Fort Atkinson, WI. Bill retired from Spacesaver in January of 2007 and formed a consulting business which he continued until his death. He was always a positive person with a driving purpose in his life which was reflected in the many people he mentored and influenced.
Bill is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Mary Wettstein; children: Daniel (Lisa Bishop) Wettstein, Christine (Carl) Clementi, Michael (Jill Schrader) Wettstein, and Ann (William) Klingsporn; grandchildren: Christopher, Matthew and Michael Wettstein, Ashley (James) Sieracki, Anthony and Caroline Clementi, William and Elizabeth Klingsporn; brother, David (Patricia Reinl) Wettstein; niece, Robin (Drew) Johnson and their children; many other extended family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH, 456 N. Arch St., Janesville, with Rev. Brian Dulli officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be on Monday at 12:00 noon in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Kloten, WI. Memorials may be made to St. William Catholic School, 456 N. Arch St., Janesville, WI, Echo Inc., 65 S. High St., Janesville, WI, or Roncalli High School, 2000 Mirro Dr., Manitowoc, WI.
