William L. Brunton
William L. “Bill” Brunton, 50, of Smelser Twp. died on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at his home after a long fight with cancer.
Bill was born on January 29, 1964 in Lancaster, Wisconsin, the son of Cletus and Ileen (Bertram) Brunton. He was married to Karen Thys on December 13, 2013 in Galena, Illinois. Bill graduated from Platteville High School he attended Southwest Tech, Fennimore and Moraine Park Technical College, Beaver Dam where he graduated studying automotive and welding. He owned and operated Elite Service & Tire in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. For the past four years he worked and farmed for Owen Bennett. Bill enjoyed his Harley, fishing and his kids.
Bill is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Jacob (Katie Sue) Brunton, Colton Chandler, Tyler (Wendy Pondgratz) Brunton, Zach (Bailey Williams) Brunton, Luke (Ashley Muehl) Brunton, Tana (David Kuhagen) Brunton, Kimmy Brunton, Katey Brunton and Jordyn Coy; grandson, David John Kuhagen, Jr., sister, Barb (Mike Miles) Brunton, brothers, David (Nancy) Brunton, Sam Brunton and Jack Brunton and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, nephews, Jesse and Joshua and sister-in-law, Nancy Brunton.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Burial will be at the Harrison Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville or after 10:00 a.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the Bill Brunton Memorial Fund.
