William A. Brokopp
Lyndon Station: William Arthur Brokopp, 73, was born in Mauston, Wisconsin on August 4, 1940. He passed away on February 20, 2014 at the Tomah VA Medical Center Hospice in Tomah, Wisconsin. William will be joining his oldest daughter, Vicky Brokopp in Heaven.
William served in the Navy as a D.C. Escort and Drivers Education Instructor from July 15, 1959 to January 27, 1961. William was a huge volunteer at the Tomah VA Medical Center since 2007, helping his fellow veterans. He was a Charter Life Member of AMVets. He and his family were very active fundraisers for the AMVets Post 2180 of Necedah, Wisconsin. William loved to fish and crossstitch.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years Jacqueline Brokopp of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, and a daughter Emma Palmer of Lyndon Station, WI. His step-children Christy Clarke and Rosemary Hendricks both of Lyndon Station, WI, Jim Swenson of Wisconsin Dells, WI and Joe Swenson of Portage, Wisconsin. 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 8, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, 525 South Washington Street in New Lisbon, Wisconsin.
The service will be followed by a Celebration of Life in the Church Hall. Friends are requested to bring a dish to pass.
