These three places serve up pizza's classy cousin
What’s the difference between flatbread and pizza? One might argue it’s the artisanal toppings or that fact that you wouldn’t be out of line eating it with a fork and knife. If pizza were to have an opinion, he’d probably refer to flatbread as his classy cousin. Enjoy yours at the following locales.
Bonfyre American Grille on the east-bound side of the Beltline has a fig and prosciutto flatbread on its menu–a sharp and tangy option topped with fig jam, caramelized onions, arugula, parmesan, goat cheese and a balsamic glaze.
Jac’s Dining & Tap House in the Monroe Street neighborhood of Madison does a rotating vegetable offering well. This past fall, jac’s featured a festive pumpkin sage puree, arugula, bell peppers, red onion and provolone option.
The Woodshed Ale House in Sauk City is owned by Madison-based Vintage Brewing Company and takes a tavern approach to its ingredients with a homemade beer crust and offerings such as buffalo-sauced fried chicken, chipotle-peach BBQ grilled chicken and a Greek-style flatbread.
