What’s That Wednesday: The Fountain’s New Burger

In an attempt to take their namesake burger to the next level, the Fountain substituted its Juicy Lucy style burger for an updated version, released last month.

Warning: This is not your average cheeseburger.

The New Fountain Burger, like many dishes at the Fountain, highlights local ingredients and house-made toppings. The patty, ground fresh daily, is made with fifty percent brisket and fifty percent chuck, then topped with house-made mustard, aioli and a slice of four-year cheddar from Monroe, for a deliciously juicy (if not a bit messy) burger. Jalapeños give the burger some kick, though other veggies, bacon and a pretzel bun mellow it out.

While this burger may be a bit under the radar, it is not one to be missed. Grab a beer (there’s plenty of local brews on tap!) and a seat at the classic mahogany bar and settle in for some evening entertainment—the restaurant hosts live music from local artists throughout the week.
