Westfield native 1 of 2 Rhodes Scholarship finalists at UW
MADISON, Wis. — Two University of Wisconsin-Madison seniors competed as finalists this year for Rhodes Scholarships, according to release.
Thousands of students apply each year, and Kyra Fox and Ross Dahlke were among 228 students who were endorsed by their institutions and made it to the final stage of the competition, officials said.
Dahlke, of Westfield, is double majoring in journalism and political science, with comprehensive honors in the liberal arts and journalism. Fox, of Whitefish Bay, is double majoring in international studies and psychology, with a certificate in African studies and honors in liberal arts.
Winners were announced Saturday.
UW-Madison’s last Rhodes Scholars were Colin Higgins (Class of 2016), Drew Birrenkott (Class of 2014), and Alexis Brown (Class of 2012).
