West side resident scares away attempted burglars, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A resident on Madison’s west side scared away some intruders that entered her home Tuesday night, police said.
A woman was in a bedroom of a Manitowoc Parkway home just before 7 p.m. when she heard someone ringing the doorbell, according to a release. She wasn’t expecting visitors, so she ignored it.
Shortly after that she heard people inside the home and could see flashlight beams, police said. The woman said she yelled and the intruders fled.
According to the release, a back door had been left unlocked, but it doesn’t appear anything was taken.
