Wauneta G. Cook
Wauneta G. (McCumber) Cook, 91, of Richland Center, WI, passed away November 3, 2014 at Greenway Manor.
She was born to the late Dyer and Lois (Gander) McCumber on August 10, 1923 in Viola, WI. Wauneta graduated from high school in Viola in 1941. On October 21, 1947 she married the late Clifford Cook. They had three children.
Throughout her life, Wauneta worked as a nurse’s aide, housekeeper for elderly and disabled individuals, and as a homemaker. She played the trombone and loved music, instilling in her children that same appreciation. A strong Christian, Wauneta enjoyed church services and listening and reading the Bible.
Wauneta is survived by her sister, Bernadine Barto of Richland Center; her children: Bonnie (David) Jones of Thunderbay, Ontario Canada, Larry Cook of Richland Center,
Duane (Joanie) Cook of Dodgeville, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren,other relatives and friends.
A Live Celebration for Wauneta Cook will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Doctor Reverend CD Fretz will officiate and burial will be in the Fancy Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM.
