Water main break leaves 2 UW buildings without water
Officials urge caution in area that may be slippery until pipe is fixed
MADISON, Wis. — Two University of Wisconsin buildings will be without water until Monday after a water main broke Sunday morning, according to a campus alert.
UW police said the water main break happened in the 1500 block of Linden Drive near the Meat Science Lab, Stock Pavilion and Science House.
The pipe will not be repaired until Monday morning, according to the alert. Facilities crews will salt and sand the area to keep it from getting to slippery, but officials urged extra caution walking or driving in the area.
The Science House and the east side of the Meat Science Lab will be without water until the pipe is fixed, officials said.
