Wanted man arrested leaving movie theater
A man wanted by Madison police on multiple charges was arrested as he was leaving a west side movie theater Tuesday, police said.
The Madison Police Department said it received a tip that a 19-year-old Madison man who was wanted in connection with multiple crimes was at Marcus Point Cinema watching a movie at about 10:22 p.m.
When the movie finished, officers were waiting for Gavin C. Grant to exit the theater, according to the report. When police spoke with him, he struggled with officers and tried to run. Police threatened to use a Taser if Grant did not stop resisting, and police were able to take him into custody.
Grant was arrested on suspicion of physical abuse of a child causing great bodily harm, false imprisonment, resisting police and other tentative charges, police said.
