Walter S. Pacewicz
JANESVILLE—Walter S. Pacewicz Jr., age 83, of Janesville, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at St. Mary’s Janesville Hospital. He was born in Chicago, IL, on July 15, 1929, the son of Walter and Helen (Sekowski) Pacewicz and was raised on a farm near Withee, WI. Walter served in the US Army during the Korean War as a tank mechanic. He was stationed in Germany. He married Constance “Connie” Laski on May 18, 1957. Walter was employed as a boring mill operator at Midland Die and Engraving in Chicago, Seko Tool and Engineering in Franklin Park, IL, Prex in Franklin Park, and Acura in Crystal Lake, IL. He loved St. Bernards and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; 2 daughters, Susanne (Ralph) Iden of McHenry, IL, and Dianne (Ken) Diana of Crystal Lake, IL; 4 grandchildren: Hilary and Jeremy Iden, Kenny and Andrew Diana; and his sister, Alice Madej of Bloomingdale, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, with Fr. James Kuhn officiating. Burial will be in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. Visitation will take place on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH. The family is being assisted by the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, Janesville.
