Vodka thieves foiled by police after leaving East side Walmart
MADISON, Wis. — Police arrested a 45-year-old man and cited a woman after the pair left Walmart with ten bottles of stolen vodka.
According to the Madison Police Department, the pair procured their ill-gotten goods by filing a Walmart bag with the bottles and then pushing them out the door in a shopping cart. The couple left the store in a vehicle which was promptly stopped by police.
Police arrested the man, who had open cases for felony and misdemeanor retail theft, six counts of bail jumping and strong arm robbery. The woman was cited for misdemeanor retail theft.
