JANESVILLE—Virginia Ann Connor, age 89, of Janesville, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Huntington Place. She was born in Janesville on March 30, 1923, the daughter of John F. and Mary A. (Tobin) Connor. Ann attended a one-room school house, Riverside School and was a 1941 graduate of Janesville High School. She lived on the family farm her entire life until moving to the Huntington in 2004. Ann was employed in Customer Service for 54 years at the Parker Pen Company, working from April 1941 to Aug. 1995. She was a charter member of St. William Catholic Church, a member of the Over 50 club and Catholic Women’s Club. She enjoyed traveling world-wide, bowling, golfing, playing cards, watching the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and the Little Theater.

Ann is survived by her nieces/ caregivers, Marlene King and Barbara (Jay) Jordan; other nieces and nephews: Mary (Dale) Buchholz, Pat (Mark) Welch, Donna (Mick) Mullooly, Bernadine (Danny) Schaefer, Julie (Geno) Laschinger, Sue (Rod) Lyga, Ben (Shelly) Wellnitz, Jerry (Sally) Wellnitz, Eileen (Rick) Walker, Alice Wellnitz, Dennis (Sally) Wellnitz, Brian (Pam) Wellnitz, Peggy (Mike) Chizek; numerous great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. The last of her siblings, she was preceded in death by her 2 brothers, John E. (Margaret) Connor and Joseph Connor; and her 5 sisters: Marie, Elizabeth, and Rita Connor, Maggie (Frank) Wellnitz, and Helen (Bernard) Wellnitz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH with Fr. John Auby officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH.

The family would like to thank Anna, Sandi, and all the caring staff at Huntington Place as well as Deb and Kim from Heartland Hospice.

Ann, a very quiet, private person, was proud of her family and her Irish Heritage.
