Virginia A Connors
Virginia “Ginny” Connors of New Lisbon Wisconsin passed away peacefully amidst her family at Fair View Nursing Home on November 7, 2012. Virginia was born December 4, 1925, in Madison, WI. She was one of five children born to the late Leo and Margaret (Quinn) Higgins. During her youth she lived in Madison, WI and attended Edgewood Catholic School from Kindergarten all the way through College. On July 4, 1947, Virginia married the Love of her life, Delbert J Connors of Rio, WI. They had three Boys (Michael, Patrick, and Joseph) and were happily married for nearly 48 years. Del and Ginny shared a love of traveling all over the united states specifically to Ft Myers Beach, FL and Las Vegas, NV. Ginny worked at AT&T Telephone Company for 20 years and retired in the mid 1980’s. After Retirement Del and Ginny moved from Green Bay, WI to Green Lake, WI, where they built a home on the lake. They enjoyed boating, skiing, and spending time with friends and Family. Ginny loved to collect Precious moments and eclectic clowns which were reflections of her personality. Eventually Del and Ginny sold their home on Green Lake and moved to Castle Rock Lake to be closer to their children and grandchildren. They also purchased a condo on Ft Myers Beach, FL where they spent their winters.
Ginny is survived by her sister Ann Erickson; Son Patrick (Tanya) Connors of New Lisbon, Daughters- in- Law Kimberly Connors (Dale Johnson) of New Lisbon and Linda Connors of Racine. Grandchildren Jessica Shawn, Shannon Kimberly (Matthew Lund), Chad Michael, Jennifer Lee (Joshua Clark), Amanda Jo, and Ashley Marie (Valera Smokvin). Great Grand Children Taylor Rose, Joseph Thomas, Connor Patrick, and Baby Boy Lund to be. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; Husband Delbert Connors; Brothers Leo Higgins, Robert Higgins, and John (Jack) Higgins; Brother-in-law Dale Erickson; Sister-in-Law Ronnie Higgins; Sons Joseph Connors and Michael Connors.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, November 12, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Mauston. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, November 11th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Crandall Funeral Home, Mauston.
