Victim in fatal Dodge County motorcycle crash identified
BEAVER DAM, Wis — Dodge County authorities have identified the Beaver Dam man killed in a motorcycle crash over the weekend.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old Daniel Chase was killed when he failed to make it around a curve on South Center Road and crashed into a ditch, ejecting him from his vehicle.
Chase was found dead near the roadway shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday.
Authorities said Chase wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Speed and alcohol impairment are suspected to have played a role in the crash.
Dodge County officials said Chase likely crashed roughly two hours before he was found.
The Beaver Dam Police Department, Beaver Dam Fire and Rescue, Dodge County Emergency Response Team and the Dodge County Medical Examiner responded to the crash.
