Victim identified in rural Dodge County hunting-related incident

Dodge County officials have identified the victim in Tuesday’s fatal squirrel hunting-related incident in Reeseville, Wisconsin.

Officials said the victim is 54-year-old Kao Xiong, of Milwaukee, who was shot by his 61-year-old brother.

The two were part of a hunting party of three, who were hunting squirrels in Dodge County near Mud Lake Road.

A news release said the shooting occurred between 7:30 and 8 a.m.

“It is our hope that the information we can assemble as part of the investigation will help the family through this tragic loss of one of their loved ones,” Lt. John Sinclair said in a news release.
