Verona man facing synthetic drug charges
MADISON, Wis. — A Verona man is facing multiple drug charges after authorities executed search warrants at the man’s home and place of business Thursday.
In a news release, Madison police said the man, Suhail S. Syed, 55, was arrested and faces four charges of delivering synthetic cannibinoids. Police said the Dane County Narcotics Task Force recovered more than nine pounds of a synthetic marijuana known as Spice as well as a smaller amount of cocaine.
Syed’s home in Verona and business, Madison Bazaar, located at 1901 S. Park St., were searched, authorities said.
Other tentative charges, including maintaining a drug dwelling, are being referred to the Dane County District Attorney’s office, the release said.
