Vehicle struck by gunfire on Madison’s east side; no one injured

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating after they found multiple shell casings and a vehicle struck by gunfire on Madison’s east side early Monday morning.

Police said officers were dispatched to the intersection of East Washington Avenue and North Marquette Street around 4:45 a.m. for reports of shots fired.

When they arrived, officers found spent shell casings and a vehicle that was hit by multiple rounds.

No injuries have been reported, according to an incident report.

Madison police said their investigation is ongoing.
