Vehicle hits power pole, driver taken to hospital
MADISON, Wis. — One person was injured in an early afternoon crash Saturday on Madison’s near east side between a car and a power pole.
Madison Fire Department spokesperson Cynthia Schuster said crews were called to the 2100 block of East Johnson Street around 12:50 p.m. after receiving a report of a vehicle that had hit a power pole. First responders found a dark-colored sedan situated against the pole with no airbags deployed.
Schuster said the driver was taken to a local hospital. Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
