Vehicle behind hit-and-run driver hit with light pole, officials say
MADISON, Wis. — Police responded Wednesday morning to a hit-and-run crash involving a light pole, officials said.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the crash around 10:25 a.m. to the intersection of Verona Road and Atticus Way, according to a release.
Crews said a vehicle in the intersection had a light pole on its hood and windshield.
The driver told officials he was driving when the vehicle in front of him hit the light pole and drove away, according to the release. The pole then fell on his vehicle.
The driver was not injured, officials said. The back window of the vehicle was shattered, but the windshield was still intact.
The vehicle that originally hit the pole was not found.
