UWPD: 18 UW students arrested at Badgers game

MADISON, Wis. — Eighteen UW-Madison students were arrested Saturday at Wisconsin football’s game against Michigan, according to UW police.

Twenty-two citations were issued for underage alcohol consumption, while one person was cited and ejected for entering the playing surface.

In total, 25 citations were issued and 23 people were arrested. Fifty people were ejected, including 33 UW students.

Eighteen paramedic calls were made, police said.

The Badgers lost the game to the Wolverines, and quarterback Graham Mertz went down in the second half.

Wisconsin’s next game is away from home at Illinois next Saturday.
