UW women’s basketball season opener postponed due to COVID-19 protocols

MADISON, Wis. — The season opener for the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s women’s basketball team has been postponed.
The game against the Miami Redhawks was initially scheduled for Wednesday. According to a news release from UW Athletics, the game was postponed due to “protocols related to COVID-19 for the Redhawks.”
The game will be rescheduled for later in the season.

The Badgers will now kick off their season against Western Illinois on Sunday.
