Two students arrested after structure fire
WHITEWATER, Wis. — Two University of Wisconsin-Whitewater students are suspected of starting the outside of a house on fire, according to a release from Whitewater police.
Police and firefighters were called to 174 S. Whiton St. in the early-morning hours of Friday for a report of a fire. The first firefighters on scene said the outside of the residence was on fire when they arrived.
The fire was put out quickly without significant damage to the structure.
Police said two people in dark clothing were reported running from the building just before the fire was reported.
Curtis Schwab, 22, of Waukesha and Andrew Kvasnicka, 21, of Brookfield were arrested on suspicion of arson.
