UW System launches website on sexual assault, harassment
MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin System launched a new website Friday with information and resources about sexual assault and harassment at each campus, officials said in a news release.
“We want the women and men on our campus to feel safe, so this is all about changing the culture, it’s about our students knowing they have a safe space to live and to learn,” UW System communications director Stephanie Marquis said.
The website was one of several recommendations from a task force that system president Ray Cross asked for in 2014 to address sexual assault and harassment on its campuses.
Among the recommendations in the December report are providing training and professional development for staff, connecting survivors to resources and increasing prevention resources.
