UW student reports sexual assault
Woman says she was pushed to the ground and assaulted
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating a sexual assault reported by a 19-year-old University of Wisconsin-Madison student.
The woman told police she was walking on North Brooks Street between Fahrenbrook Court and Spring Street Sunday at 10:15 p.m. when she was approached by two men. She said one of the men pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her and the other was not directly involved in the attack. Both men reportedly fled south on North Brooks Street after the victim was able to knee the attacker in the groin.
The victim reported the assault to police on Tuesday.
Both men are described as white, age 20, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with short brown hair. One has a muscular build and was wearing a black or blue V-neck T-shirt and blue jeans. The other was wearing jeans and a T-shirt.
